Liberals commit to local path safety upgrades
A Dutton Liberal Government will commit $2,679,400 for path safety upgrades across Hughes, including at:
Ernie Smith Reserve in Moorebank - $500,000 for access path lighting
Holsworthy - $500,000 for a fully lit shared path along Pleasure Point Road and Heathcote Road between Pleasure Point Road and The Avenue
Voyager Point - $440,000 for a fully lit shared path along Boronia Drive and Sirius Road
Pleasure Point - $385,000 for a lit segment of shared pathway along the Georges River
Moorebank - $332,500 for footpath connections on Paine Avenue, Josephine Crescent, Junction Road, Bratsell Street, Bell Place, Edgecombe Avenue and Corben Avenue.
Kennett and Sneddon Parks in Glenfield - $228,400 to upgrade shared pathway lighting.
Simmos Beach in Holsworthy - $150,000 for access road rehabilitation
Holsworthy Station - $143,500 for access path lighting and CCTV between Yengo Circuit and Holsworthy Station.
Federal Member for Hughes, Jenny Ware MP, said this commitment is in response to the needs and wishes of the southern Sydney families.
“These upgrades will ensure that local families can go about their daily lives with the greater confidence about their personal safety,” Mrs Ware said.
“I have listened to our community and am pleased to be making this commitment which will encourage even more local families to enjoy our outdoor lifestyle.”
This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
