A Dutton Liberal Government will commit $2.375 million to local infrastructure upgrades across the Sutherland Shire, including:
Heathcote Oval - $725,000 for clubhouse renewal and upgrades
Prince Edward Park in Woronora - $500,000 for field and amenity upgrades
Bundeena Oval - $375,000 for clubhouse renewal and upgrades
Parc Menai - $375,000 for playground renewal and upgrades
Waratah Park in Sutherland - $220,000 for an accessible amenities building
Scylla Bay Wharf in Como - $130,000 for fishing platform renewal
Tom Evans Field in Bonnet Bay - $30,000 for clubhouse accessibility upgrades
Sutherland Presbyterian Church - $20,000 for a new church hall stage
Federal Member for Hughes, Jenny Ware MP, said these commitments recognise the growth of the Sutherland Shire and the need for first rate local facilities.
“These commitments will ensure that Shire families have access to facilities and amenities which are safe and promote the healthy lifestyles which we are known for,” Mrs Ware said.
“Many of these upgrades will address the accessibility challenges which have been raised with me, by Shire locals, as their local Federal Member.”
“I have listened to local families and am committing to these upgrades which will benefit Shire locals now and for decades to come.”
This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
