Liberals commit to Lane Cove River Boardwalk
The Hon Angus Taylor MP
Shadow Treasurer
Scott Yung
Liberal Candidate for Bennelong
An elected Dutton Liberal Government has committed $250,000 to build a continuous pedestrian boardwalk along the eastern foreshore of the Lane Cove River.
This commitment will see the replacement of eroded sections and the infill of missing links to enable a continuous boardwalk for running, hiking or a casual stroll.
Liberal candidate for Bennelong, Scott Yung, said that this commitment will be a big win for local families.
“The upgrade of the boardwalk along the Lane Cove River will make this picturesque setting accessible to locals with prams or mobility aids,” Mr Yung said.
“We are an active community, so this upgrade will only enhance the lifestyle enjoyed by locals, by better connecting us with our natural environment along the river.”
Shadow Treasurer, Angus Taylor, praised Scott Yung for his advocacy in favour of practical improvements which will make a lasting difference for his local community.
“Scott Yung is exactly the kind of local champion Bennelong needs – someone who listens, understands, and takes action,” Mr Taylor said.
“This is a smart investment in local infrastructure that will deliver a tangible community benefit while also respecting the natural environment.”
This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
