Navy Veteran, senior executive and local community advocate, Dr Jerry Nockles has been selected and endorsed as the Liberal candidate for Eden-Monaro.
A Pharmacy Guild of Australia executive, Dr Nockles, served in the Royal Australian Navy for 24 years, including in the Persian Gulf War, before taking up senior roles with international non-government organisations such as World Vision Australia and UNICEF Australia.
Raising his three kids with his wife Patience, Jerry has been active in the local community, including Kosciusko Huts Association, Menslink mentor and Rotary Club board member.
“This is one of the most beautiful parts of the world, with no other part of the country able to match our natural beauty and lifestyle. If elected, I will fight to preserve the character of our region, and will focus on creating more opportunities so that people can make this their home and place of work.”
Having served the former Member for Eden-Monaro, Dr Peter Hendy, and Senator Jim Molan, Jerry has the experience needed to tackle the critical issues facing Eden-Monaro straight away.
“This is the most critical election in a generation, and our electorate will be at the heart of this election,” said Dr Nockles.
“We need someone who will be a strong and capable representative in the Morrison Government, and could ensure that our local businesses get the support they need to recover and grow.”
“I will ensure that we get the infrastructure and amenities that this electorate needs and deserves.”
“If my community gives me a chance to represent them, I have the necessary experience to support the Morrison Government’s economic recovery plan, and make Australia a stronger and more secure nation.”
As part of the Morrison Liberal team, Dr Jerry Nockles will work hard to secure the region’s economic recovery, and a better future for local families, businesses and retirees.
