More than six hundred kilometres of roads sealed, almost two hundred bridges upgraded and twenty-eight truck washes built or upgraded, all delivered through the Fixing Country Roads program.
Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight Melinda Pavey and Parliamentary Secretary and Member for Tamworth, Kevin Anderson today announced a further ten projects have been given the green light through the Fixing Country Road program.
“These projects improve connectivity between regional centres, state roads and freight facilities, reducing travel times, saving maintenance costs, improve safety, and bring freight costs down,” Mrs Pavey said
“Freight is worth more than $60 billion to the NSW economy. It’s vital that our roads are able to support efficient freight movements that power, feed and provide for the State.”
