Meet Jo

Jo van der Plaat is your Liberal candidate for Eden-Monaro.

A Cooma local, Jo attended Monaro High and lives on a small farm near Cooma, where she and her husband raised their two children.

Jo is a lawyer who has practiced locally for over 20 years and has served as the President of the Law Society of NSW.

Jo is passionate about serving her community. She is a member of the Dry Plains/Wambrook Rural Fire Brigade and a former director and board member of a range of local community organisations.

As a parent and local lawyer, Jo understands the pressures facing local families and small businesses. She will be part of a team that works to reduce inflation and strengthen our economy.

Her experience in running a business, leading the legal profession and serving our community, gives Jo the skills, experience and local knowledge to deliver the infrastructure and services our communities in Eden-Monaro need.
